Organized by GeekyAnts India Pvt. Ltd. ("GeekyAnts", "we", "us", or "our"), these terms and conditions ("Terms") guide you through participating in the conference and interacting with our platforms, websites and communication channels.
These Terms are intended to ensure that your experience with thegeekconf is enjoyable, transparent and respectful for all participants. By registering for or participating in thegeekconf, you agree to comply with these Terms.
thegeekconf is intended primarily for individuals 18 years or older. If you are under 18, please do not use the platform, registration forms, or submit any personal information. Participants under 18 may write to us at [email protected] to evaluate and with the consent of parents/legal guardians can attend the conference after gaining approval from us. Please note that our Privacy Policy and Code of Conduct are an integral part of these Terms and should be read together with them.
Your participation in thegeekconf including attendees, participants, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and partners ("You") is subject to compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and instructions issued by GeekyAnts or the venue management. Entry to the event is at the sole discretion of GeekyAnts, and we reserve the right to refuse admission to any participant who does not comply with these Terms or behaves in a manner that is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate. Attendance at thegeekconf is by invitation and is entirely voluntary.
All persons attending the event are responsible for their personal property brought to the venue. GeekyAnts will not be liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings. You are expected to respect the venue, its facilities, and the property of other attendees. Any damage caused by you will be your sole responsibility.
All attendees are encouraged to follow health and safety guidelines at the venue. Attendance is at your own risk and GeekyAnts is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or health-related incidents that may occur during the event. The date and venue of thegeekconf are fixed and communicated in advance. GeekyAnts reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the event agenda, timing, or venue, and such updates will be communicated through our official channels. Your participation in thegeekconf indicates your understanding and acceptance of the Terms as updated from time to time.
All rights, title, and interest in any recordings, presentations, materials, documentation, or other content shared, displayed, or distributed at thegeekconf ("Content") are exclusively owned by GeekyAnts. By participating in the Event, You acknowledge and agree that:
Your participation in thegeekconf is subject to GeekyAnts' Code of Conduct, published separately. You are required to adhere to it at all times during the event, and GeekyAnts reserves the right to refuse entry or ask you to leave if your conduct violates the Code or affects the safety, comfort, or experience of others.
Notwithstanding anything contained herein, GeekyAnts' including its directors, employees, and affiliates, shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, exemplary, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to your participation in thegeekconf or your use of any related platforms, websites, or communication channels.
Your participation in the event is voluntary and at your own discretion and risk. GeekyAnts shall not be responsible for any injury, death, damage, theft, losses, or costs suffered at or as a result of the event or any part of it.
To the extent that any liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, GeekyAnts' total aggregate liability to you for direct damages shall be limited solely to proven damages directly and solely attributable to GeekyAnts' breach of these Terms and shall not exceed INR 1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh only), regardless of the cause of action or theory of liability.
You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GeekyAnts', its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all damages, liabilities, losses, claims, charges, injuries, fines, penalties, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees, court costs, and settlement amounts) arising out of or in connection with any act or omission by You including negligence, misconduct, or violation of applicable laws or event instructions, any damage caused by You to the venue or any property, any infringement of third-party intellectual property rights resulting from materials or content shared by You, or any breach of these Terms.
Your personal and company information will be handled in accordance with GeekyAnts' Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. By participating in thegeekconf, You acknowledge and agree to the collection, use, and processing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
GeekyAnts shall not be liable for any hindrance, failure, or delay in performing any of its obligations under these Terms as a result of events beyond its reasonable control ("Force Majeure Event"), including, without limitation, acts of God, extreme weather, power failure, floods, lightning, storm, fire, explosion, war, riot, civil commotion, military operations, acts or threats of terrorism, malicious damage, strikes or other industrial action, failure or shortage of supplies, compliance with any law or governmental order, accident, technical or system failures, pandemic, epidemic, or other widespread illness.
In the event of a Force Majeure Event, GeekyAnts may, at its sole discretion and without liability, modify, suspend, postpone, or cancel the Event, by providing notice to You.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through arbitration under the provisions of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator mutually appointed by the Parties. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Bangalore, India, and the proceedings shall be conducted in English.
Subject to the foregoing, the courts at Bangalore, Karnataka, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any matters arising from or relating to these Terms.
GeekyAnts may modify, update, or revise these Terms and Conditions at its discretion. Any supplementary terms, conditions, guidelines, policies, or instructions issued in relation to the conference shall be deemed an integral part of these Terms and Conditions and will be communicated to You accordingly.
Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as creating a partnership, agency, joint venture, or employer–employee relationship between You and GeekyAnts. These terms constitute the entire agreement between You and GeekyAnts and supersede all prior discussions, representations, or understandings, whether written or oral. You shall not transfer, assign, resell, or otherwise dispose of any of Your rights or obligations under these Terms without GeekyAnts' prior written consent.
